In the first round 565,255 students took the national exam , which is 96 percent from the expected number.

Deputy Director General of the National Education Assessment and Examinations Agency Mr.Tefera Feyisa on his  media briefing said, the exam has been completed successfully .

He said 565,255 of students took the exam from the total expected number of 617,991 at 2,036 exam centers.

on his briefing the Deputy Director General thanked the security forces, education staff and parents for their contribution to the peaceful completion of the exam.

Areas that have not been administered the national exam  due to various problems will be administer in the second round after making psychological readiness of students  and students will enter the university with the first round examinee
