It is stated that the government will start regular education by providing masks, water and hand sanitizers and by cleaning schools.

The Minister of Education, Getahun Mekuriya (Dr. Eng.) Said that when the schools are opened, students will attend classes according to the grade level and the education will start with Preschoolers and first graders

The precautionary measures taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will be fully implemented in schools and the education process will be provided in shifts said.

It is also stated that the shift system can be from 2 to 3 shift depending on the local conditions.

Teachers at school are expected to play a key role in preventing the spread of the virus, and the minister called upon parents to provide the necessary support when sending their children to school.

The formal education will start after the government has made a decision.
