Expanding educational ICT infrastructure and services in secondary and primary schools in the country

• • • By connecting secondary and primary schools in the country to the central education data center, they can benefit from digital education programs, data, internet, online support, and services.
    • Compile and implement the best practices that can modernize the ICT system of education
    • Implementing projects to be designed and put into practice in secondary schools based on studies that can answer the needs of educational information and communication technology.
    • Build an information system in secondary and primary schools and ensure that the information is supported by mobile phones, tablets and any electronic devices.
    • Develop educational information and communication technology operating frameworks/roadmaps/ to be designed and implemented
    • Provide capacity-building training to regional education office, zone, district, and education office and school experts on the management and use of educational technology tools.
    • Designing and implementing implementation strategies to make information technology services accessible to the general education sector
    • Provides troubleshooting support for technical problems encountered by regional education offices and high schools on educational technology equipment
    • Conducts research to deliver educational content programs to educational institutions through various application platforms (for example, Learning management system), and also provides direction for its implementation by preparing it in a way that is beneficial to the institution and the country.
    • Policy and implementation strategy for educational ICT infrastructures and systems developed from federal to educational institutions; Study, approve, and implement standards and guidelines, other documents

• • • The desk shall have the role and responsibilities of conducting ICT/Digital related studies and researches on national policies, standards, strategies, frameworks so as to improve the use of Digital technology in the teaching-learning, research, technology transfer, administration reform works and networking institutions.

    • It also shall have the responsibilities of accessing broadband internet, maintaining safe cyber security at Ethiopian Education and Research Network, accessing universities secured broadband internet from the main data center.
