      • Evaluates  the  development  of  capacity  in  the  teaching  and  learning  process and  provides  policy  ideas  for improvement,  provides  leadership  to  implement  the improved work, and monitors its performance.

      • Develops,  approves,  and  monitors  implementation  of  evaluation  criteria  to evaluate the implementation of educational programs and quality.
    •  
      • Designs  a  strategy  for  appropriate  and  standardized  school-level  assessment processes, provides leadership for implementation, and monitors performance.
    •  
      • Prepares  training  documents  on  the  implementation  of  educational  programs and  research,  provides  training,  monitors  its  implementation,  and  identifies  the benefits obtained.
    •  
      • Accelerated  School  Transformation  provides  leadership,  coordinates,  evaluates performance,  provides  feedback,  and  prepares  reports  for  schools  to  improve their standards by developing strategies that are possible.
    •  
      • Identifies  the  focus  areas  that  contribute  to  the  high  academic  performance  of students, and provides guidance for implementation.
    •  
      • Provides  leadership  for  the  preparation  of  School  Mapping,  which  enables  the distribution of school facilities and resources, and ensures its implementation.

        • ልዩ ድጋፍ በሚሹ ክልሎችና አርብቶ አደር አካባቢዎች በትምህርት ልማት ዘርፍ የሚታዩትን የአፈጻጸም ክፍተቶች በመለየትና አገራዊ ግብን መሰረት በማድረግ በየደረጃው ለሚገኙ የትምህርት አመራርና ባለሙያዎች አቅም ለማጎልበት የሚያስችሉ የሥልጠና ማንዋሎችን በማዘጋጀት ሥልጠና ይሰጣል፤ ያመቻቻል፤ ያስተባበራል፡፡

        • በልዩ ፍላጎት/አካቶ /ትምህርት ስራዎች ላይ የተሰማሩ መንግስታዊና መንግስታዊ ያልሆኑ ድርጅቶች ለልዩ ፍላጎት/አካቶ ትምህርት ፕሮግራም መሳካት የበኩላቸውን ሚና እንዲጫወቱ ያስተባብራል፤ ይከታተላል፤ ድጋፍ ያደርጋል፡፡

        • ለአርብቶ አደር፣ ለልዩ ፍላጎት/አካቶ ትምህርት የሚያስፈልጉ ግብዓቶችን ለማግኘት የሚረዳ የፕሮጄክት ሀሳብ ያመነጫል፣ ባለሙያዎችን በማስተባበር ያዘጋጃል፤ ሲፈቀድም ተግባራዊነቱን ይከታተላል፡፡

        •  በፌደራል የመንግስት አስፈጻሚ አካላት አዋጅ እና በልዩ ድጋፍ ቦርድ ማቋቋሚያ ደንብ መሰረት የተሰጡ ተግባርና ኃላፊነቶችን በተቀናጀ ድጋፍ  ለመፈጸም የሚያስችል እቅድ እንዲዘጋጅ ያደርጋል፣ ያስተባብራል፣ እቅዱን ያጸድቃል፡፡

        • የመፈፀምና የማስፈፀም አቅም ውስንነት በሚታይባቸው አካባቢዎች ለሚገኙ የአጠቃላይ ትምህርት መዋቅሮች ልዩ የሆነ የሱፐርቪዥን ድጋፍ እና የአቅም ግንባታ ሥራዎችን ያሰራል፤ ይከታተላል፤ ጥናት ላይ በመመሥራት እንዲሻሻል ያደርጋል፡፡

    • Prepares general education school building infrastructure standards that allow educational institutions to expand in quality and be accessible to all citizens; Provides professional and technical assistance to regions and improves the standards based on research.
  •  
    • Provide technical support for the construction of the school conducted  by community and development partners to ensure that the construction of the school is in accordance with national standards;
  •  
    • it provides technical support to ensure the availability of a comfortable and safe school environment for all students, to have facilities such as electricity, clean drinking water, toilets, fences, and a safe and secure school surrounding.
  •  
    • Based on the results of the education inspection level classification, it provides professional technical support to schools that are at a low level to improve their level by identifying gaps related to construction infrastructure;
  •  
    • Perform data analysis and trend analysis to help make decisions related to the performance of the school feeding program and other service offerings, evaluate and present to decision makers; when approved, it will be implemented, and monitor performance.
  •  
    • Monitor health issues in each school and coordinate professionals to improve the situation develops alternative strategies, implement when approved, and follow up on the implementation.
  •  
    • Prepares policies, strategies, and guidelines, for the logistics and procurement service of the School feeding Program, and monitors its implementation in connection with community participation and school improvement programs.
  •  
    • Identify the needs by conducting a survey to identify the gaps in the awareness, knowledge, and skills of service delivery in the education community around the school construction, and resources of the schools; Develops a strategy to resolve; Monitor the implementation.
  •  
    • When the services of educational institutions are interrupted due to man-made and natural disasters, support the reconstruction of school infrastructure; develop new alternative strategies, and implement them as they are approved.

      • Direct and coordinate the work of school inspection service to ensure the quality of education in the country.
    •  
      • Direct the inspection services of schools established by religious and civic association’s schools.
    •  
      • Direct and provides inspection services in schools established by foreign investors who teach using Ethiopian curriculum.
    •  
      • Prepares, implements, improves, coordinates the implementation of the school and prepare guidelines, data collection tools (checklist) and Feedback tool.
    •  
      • Based on developed education policy and strategy, prepare national school Inspection analytical report for policy makers, researchers and stakeholders. 
    •  
      • Evaluates the implementation of inspections, the appropriateness of implementation documents, contribution to quality assurance, research on the competency and quality of inspectors, makes recommendations for policy input to the sector and stakeholders, organizes panel discussion and submits suggestions for improvement.
    •  
      • Conduct research to identify gaps in the implementation of school inspection with relevant stakeholders, prepares panel discussions and proposes possible remedial actions should be taken to the relevant body.
    •  
      • Expands in-country and international best experience in school inspection and use as input for inspection development. 
    •  
      • Ensures the quality of the inspection process using sample inspection in which the pre-primary, ABE, primary, middle and high schools provide inspection in accordance with the minimum set standards, provides feedback.

      • Provides inspection services to Ethiopian Community Schools abroad, sets up by level, provides feedback, and monitors their implementation.
    •  
      • Collects, organizes, analyzes, prepares annual and three-year national school inspection report to stakeholders, provides detailed information, presents it to decision-makers, and implements it.

      • In accordance with the established system by conducting monitoring and evaluation, identifies competent and vacant schools and prepares reports and provide feedback to the relevant federal and regional education bureau.
    •  
      • Conducts public works and awareness creation on activities on the implementation of school inspection. 
    •  
      • Establishes and verifies procedures for handling complaints regarding the school inspection and also take corrective action.

      • Collects, organizes, analyzes, and reports to the relevant body the information on the inspection data collected to maintain the quality of education with the help of a web-based system; Monitors and evaluates information management and provides feedback
