Getahun Mekuria (Dr. Ingineer), the former Minister of Education and other top government officials were held welcoming ceremony  to the newly appointed  Minister.  

During the official working hand over the former Minister has made briefing on the current organizational structural arrangements of the Ministry and the ongoing activities as well as plans to the minister.  

Prof. Berhanu said among various development sectors education is one of the pillar in which the country has expected more from the Ministry to bring significant change. 

As to him, the Ministry will exert all possible efforts to bring change that helps the generation.

The minister added as he will work more by having discussion with officials and staffs of the ministry.
