the Ministry   and its various institutions marked Nations and Nationalities and Peoples Day at Bishoftu town.  

Minister Dr.Tilay Gete in his opening remark said that MoE,   apart from producing human resource to Ethiopia, it has been contributing its own share in various national issues like community services. MoE carries out monthly sanitation program in nearly 40 thousand   schools in the country. Besides, unlike other ministries, it celebrated   Nations, Nationalities and Peoples Day aiming to   further cement their   bonds   as well. 

The Minister further said that during   2012 E.C, the Ministry   has been working on three major prioritized areas: finalizing education roadmap; improving education policy and preparing   educational rule.  Consequently, the Ministry   is ready to publish the roadmap while the policy is revised whereas the education rule is ready for   discussion.
